Little things pay big dividends

Hawks win 2-of-3 duals in War Eagle boys' golf action

The little things are starting to pay off in a big way for Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn in War Eagle Conference boys' golf play.

H-M-S earned its second straight conference meet win by edging South O'Brien, 189-192, on April 22 at Primghar.

Two H-M-S golfers topped the medalist list. Ben Haack finished with the low round of the day (42) while Samuel Heyn was three strokes back at 45.

Other competitors were Wyatt Borden 50, Lucas Kroese 52, Keith DeBoer 54 and Spencer McCarter 58.
