Finishing second isn't always a bad thing

Hawks fall short in 2 record-setting relays at Unity Christian meet

Sometimes the best isn't quite good enough. Case in point – Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn's 4x100 relay squad which bettered the Unity Christian Invitational meet record, but didn't win the race.

Noah Adams, Kooper Ebel, Dawson Schiphoff and Connor Dodd ran a time of :45.62, which bettered the old meet record. But they had to settle for second place, as Unity Christian ran a time of :43.84 to set a new meet record.

Adams, Ebel, Schiphoff and Dodd also finished second in the 4x200 (1:36.46), but lost again to Unity Christian which ran another record-setting time (:1:32.17).
