Spring burning to begin at Clay County wildlife areas

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources will be conducting prescribed burns this spring on wildlife management areas managed by the DNR’s Prairie Lakes Wildlife Unit in Clay, Palo Alto, Emmet, Kossuth, Humboldt and Buena Vista counties.

Areas scheduled for prescribed burns in Clay County are Deweys Pasture, Hawk Valley, Tom Tuttle Marsh, Little Sioux, Fen Valley, Elk Lake, DU Marsh, Barringer Slough and Dan Green Slough.
