Okoboji/H-M-S wrestling records

Nick Bronstad records most wins on team

O/H-M-S heavyweight Nick Bronstad (far left) was the lone Pioneer represented at the state wrestling tournament in Des Moines last week. He finished in eighth place and tallied an overall record of 35-15 to lead the team in wins.

Okoboji/H-M-S compiled a dual record of 9-22 during the 2020-21 wrestling season. The Pioneers finished with a Siouxland Conference dual record of 2-5, giving them a sixth place finish.

This was the second year that wrestlers from Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn have participated in the program with Okoboji. They were Nick Bronstad (8th place at state), Bryce Dodge, Chayton Faulkner, Mitchell Meyers and Jonathan Ortiz.

Seniors: Caden Larue – 19-12, Chayton Faulkner – 14-29, Kylan Green – 5-3, Sarae Sehman – 0-3.
