Valentine's Day is typically a reason for celebration, whether that means hitting the town with your special someone or highlighting love in all its beautiful meaning. However, subzero temps and sparse area attractions this year made it hard to choose anything other than a delicious meal out to commemorate another Valentine's Day in the books.

The Great Hall of Royal saw the need for something new and fun, so they hit the ground running with their first ever Valentine's Date Night: Wine & Dine event last Saturday.

The Hall was brimming with Valentine's Day flair. The elegant decorations and romantic music in the air gave ticketholders a sophisticated date night to remember. Throughout the evening guests sampled wines from four regional wineries: Little Swan Lake Winery, of Estherville; Country Barn Winery, of Primghar; Innspiration Vines and Wines, of Linn Grove, and Grandma's Fruit Juice Winery, of Sheldon. On top of wine tasting, The Great Hall boasted an extremely plentiful spread of delicious hor d'oeuvres and treats. Hosts and hostesses were at every turn, making certain that the evening ran smoothly and pleasantly for all.

The new event was a great success all around with those in attendance enjoying the delicious spread, romantic surroundings and a change of pace in celebrating Valentine's Day.
