Jazz choir season underway

The Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn jazz choir began competitions last month. Due to the pandemic, Iowa Lakes Community College hosted performances, along with a clinic experience with Dr. Kurt Runestad, in its brand new auditorium.

According to H-M-S vocal director Kristi Wingert, the jazz choir had a great experience and is working to fine tune their pieces for the Late Winter Concert. The group also plans to submit a virtual recording for the University of South Dakota competition, but unfortunately, other competitions were canceled this year....
