Hawks end 2020 volleyball season with 6-16 record

Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn's 2020 volleyball season came to a close on Oct. 21, losing 3-0 to Akron-Westfield in the quarterfinal round of the Class 1A regional tournament.

The Hawks finished with an overall record of 6-16, which included a 3-1 win over Harris-Lake Park in the regional opener.

H-M-S's record in War Eagle Conference matches was 1-9, which tied them for 10th place with West Sioux.

Team offensive statistics include 1,597 attacks, 383 kills, 322 errors and a .038 hitting efficiency. The Hawks recorded 333 set assists. Defensively, H-M-S finished the season with 24 solo blocks, 87 b...
