The couple’s first few years were spent in the Hartley area until they moved to the farm west of Paullina. In 1963, they moved to her farm home in rural Archer where she lived the rest of her life.

Joanne loved to garden and enjoyed canning her homegrown produce. She also enjoyed helping Reg farm and raise livestock. Many hours were spent in her beautiful flower garden. She loved showing family and friends the beautiful flowers she grew. Joanne loved cooking and entertaining the family. She was never afraid to try a new recipe. She also enjoyed fishing through the years. She was active in Garden Club, Pairs and Squares, Dorcas and 3M Club.
