Mavericks celebrate Red Ribbon Week in style

A cute little cow graced the CC/E lunchroom creating cookies with friends.

Celebrating the nation's largest drug-abuse prevention campaign, Clay Central/Everly teachers and staff last week came together with their students to mark Red Ribbon Week.

Red Ribbon Week was started in 1985 and has never wavered in its mission to "support the nation's families and communities in nurturing the full potential of healthy, drug-free youth."

Mavericks take this mission seriously every year by making a grand deal of the annual campaign. This year they took to a "Homecoming Style" dress-up week. Monday was Spirit Day or Wear Red Day, Tuesday was the giggle-inducing Mix-Match D...
