Diane White has served the Clay Central/Everly Community School District for 30 years.

Diane White is certainly no stranger to managing.

Several years ago, she served as the manager of the Casey's General Store in Pocahontas before becoming supervisor of eight Casey's stores in Minnesota. She then followed that with the title of bookkeeper in the Casey's Corporate Office in Ankeny.

Marriage brought her back to northwest Iowa, where the business manager position at CC/E was open.

"With the Grace of God, I got it! I have been here ever since," White said.

This year is her 30th with the Maverick family.

"I remain at CC/E because I love my job, I love my peers and I love the Maverick family as a whole," she said. "My two children graduated from CC/E and this is home."

White looks forward to the year ahead with children back and bustling through the hallways, as she prays the school year and Maverick family remain untouched by COVID-19.

White's favorite thing about her job might surprise some.

"As crazy as this may sound to some, I love paperwork!" she said. "I love keeping busy and with this job, that is not a problem. I like being needed and I am proud of my 30 years that I have spent at CC/E."

White is grateful to her peers and mentors that had faith in her and believed she could do the job.

"I thank all of my friends at CC/E for putting their trust in me," she said. "My heart just overruns for the career I have made for myself with this Maverick family. CC/E is the best!"
