A Spencer woman recently became one of the all-time greats for Clay County 4-H.
Janel Maurer was this year's inductee from Clay County in the Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame. She serves on the Clay County Poultry Committee and was a club leader for the Lincoln Lions in the past.
Maurer was nominated by Clay County 4-H Committee Member Bri Pullen.
"Janel has done wonderful things with youth in our community," Pullen wrote in her nomination. "She has really made an impact on our family, especially with our youngest son, Brycen, who has a diagnosis of high functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder."
