CC/E Elementary staff pose for a quick photo prior to the Maverick Motorcade held during the COVID-19 shutdown last spring. The new school year starts next week.

Next Monday will mark the start of a new school year at Clay Central/Everly. As children anxiously await their return to semi-normalcy, CC/E staff are preparing to welcome their children "home" with new guidelines and procedures in place to assure a safe and healthy school year.

CC/E recognizes that the need for children to return to learning safely with structure and in-person socialization. After gathering information from parents and staff while following guidelines from CDC and the American Association of Pediatrics, the school district is ready for face-to-face learning to begin, with the option of online learning granted, given proper medical release.

The school highly recommends children and staff wear proper face shields or masks during the school day, especially when social distancing is hard to practice or not an option with larger class sizes or in smaller vicinities.

Parent-teacher conferences occur the first day of school with teachers allowing parents or guardians to learn COVID-19 protocol while emphasizing that most operational procedures will remain the same for the 2020-21 school year.
