Benedictine College announces honor rolls

Benedictine College has recognized students who have distinguished themselves academically during the last semester. Alexis Ricke, of Royal, was recently named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester, which ended May 16, 2020.

Any full-time student carrying a minimum of 12 hours and a perfect 4.0 grade point average through the spring term is named to the president’s list. Full-time students with 12 hours and a grade point average of 3.5 are named to the Dean’s List.

Fifth-annual PMS Tournament sees good turnout

The annual Patrick Michael Strait Tournament was held at Meadowbrook Golf and Country Club on July 25. The tournament, in its fifth year, had another great turnout.

The following were winners:

First Flight: Stan and Julia Meyer, Jim Monier and Darla Strait, first place; Pat Wynja, Tony Wynja, Becca Westphal and Joe Strait, second place; Dan Fear, Bill Alexander, Chris Jones and Alex Jones, third place.

Second Flight: Dustin Wallenburg, Gary Lohr, Ben Halverson and Mark Birchard, first place; Will Robinson, Mike Boever, Zach Chinn and Brad Leth, second place; Mike and Mary Donnenwerth, Steve Prins and Rich Ryan, third place.

Third Flight: Ron and Theresa Eick and Doug and Wannette Trei, first place; Adam Lux, Buddy Niichel, Kyle Brigham and Dave Van Berksum, second place; Ed and Tammy Birchard, Bryce Rosaker and Brad Tuttle, third place.

Fourth Flight: Aaron and Monica Rosaker, Blake Rosaker and Brody Craig, first place; Jen Beck, Rachel Kuchta, Amber Ingwerson and Molly Duitsman, second place; Jen Boeckenstedt, Trey Behning and Kam Powell, third place.
