Revamped Marble Beach rec area now open

$3.2M upgrade improves variety of amenities

Marble Beach State Recreation Area opened July 1 after a two-year renovation project.

With $3.2 million in improvements to campground facilities and roadways, Marble Beach State Recreation Area opened its doors to campers on July 1.

“We are excited to unveil the work that’s been taking place here at Marble Beach,” said Frank Rickerl, northwest Iowa supervisor for Iowa State Parks, Forests and Preserves, in a news release.
