Players at Gehlen Catholic, G-LR/CL exposed

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, lists of precautions and rules now greet spectators when they enter the H-M-S baseball and softball complex in Hartley.

Two area high school programs have had their summer seasons impacted because each has at least one player exposed to COVID-19.

The Gehlen Catholic baseball team suspended its season for at least two weeks after a player tested positive for COVID-19. Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn was to have played at LeMars last Friday in a makeup game, but the contest was cancelled when the positive test result was reported.

H-M-S's softball team did play at LeMars on Friday to make up their game with the Jays.
