Karla Rinehart retired from State Bank effective June 1, 2020. She has served in many capacities and was the bank's cashier, where she handled the financial and regulatory reporting for the bank.

Rinehart served on the bank's management committee for many years and is also on the bank's Board of Directors. State Bank will be having a retirement celebration for her at a later date due to COVID-19 restrictions.

"Karla has been an instrumental part of State Bank for 35 of the 40 years that the bank has been owned by Chairman Wayne Johnson," President Ryan Johnson said in a news release. "Her leadership of our operations team contributed to much of the growth and success that State Bank has had through the years. Karla has also been an essential part of the town of Everly, with her countless hours of community service."

Rinehart has also been important for women in banking and served on a peer group with other successful women in banking across Iowa.

"Karla will be missed by everyone, but she will continue to provide her leadership to the community and bank by serving on the bank's Board of Directors" said Johnson.

Rinehart said she has enjoyed her many years at State Bank, especially the opportunity to meet and work with so many people in the banking industry and the community.

"Even though I will be turning my current responsibilities over to trained and competent staff, State Bank and the communities they serve will continue to be important to me and I am grateful for their continued support and involvement," she said.

Rinehart said she is looking forward to starting some new projects, relaxing a little bit more, and spending more time with friends and family.
