The H-M-S Giving Tree recently landed $125 from Fiesta Foods. The local grocery store held a casual Friday fundraiser, where employees could pay a donation to wear jeans or other less formal attire. All funds raised were then donated to the local holiday charity. The H-M-S Giving Tree project collects gifts during December and distributes them to families in need throughout Hartley, Melvin, Sanborn and May City. The gift drive this year will serve 39 kids from 14 families ranging in age. Wrapped gifts are due back by Dec. 14.
