Jordan Ortega to play baseball at Northwestern College: Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn senior Jordan Ortega will be joining the Northwestern College baseball team next year. Ortega signed his intention to join the Red Raider program on April 13. Joining him were his grandmother, Verla Elgersma; his mother, Valerie Ortega; and Hawk coach Jeremy Gloden. Through his junior season at H-M-S, Ortega played in 51 varsity games primarily as a pitcher and infielder.
